I need to get a stable install of 9.2.2.Download my résumé as a Word compressed zip file and Adobe Acrobat. The second iteration allows for dual processor installations (which I've not been able to find just yet, anyone have one to sell?). The first one (the one originally in the machine) was only for single processor installations. The motherboard is the second one that was available for the Sawtooth (AGP) series. The ROM on the Mac has the latest revision for that machine. I've set up 9.2.2 to be the first partition on the drive (the drive is partitioned into five "sectors". I am also thinking of pulling two of the three drives and working with just the one where I am trying to install 9.2.2.

I am thinking of buying a retail 9.2.1 disk (the yellow one) and trying it with that. The partition is extended but not journaled. One time I got it to finish, but when I tried to boot from the partition (under 190 Gb) it started, then hung. When it does boot, and I start to install 9.2.2, it usually hangs part way into the process. Sometimes it boots fine, some times it doesn't. The computer boots, but it is very erratic. I've tried making a universal 9.2.2 disk from the Macintosh Repository.

I have a 9.1.1 retail install disk (the yellow one, not one for a specific machine).

However, I have a few pieces of software that absolutely need to run native 9.2.2. It boots into 10.4.11 quite happily and also into 10.5.8 quite happily.Ĭlassic 9.2 runs under 10.4.11 very well.
